Wow!  Today marks the end of the 1st Quarter of the 2020-2021  School Year.  I can honestly say that I didn't know if we would be teaching face-to-face by this time if you would have asked me 2 months ago.  But needless to say, I'm glad we are in the building and continuing to educate our students to the best of our abilities.

I wanted to pass the following  information on to everyone:

Early Out: Thursday, October 22 at 12:30 pm and NO SCHOOL on Friday, October 23.

Parent-Teacher Conferences:  Thursday, October 22 from 1-7pm.  Grade Cards have been sent home with students or sent in the mail.  Please review them prior to attending conferences.  It is very important that everyone follow the guidelines set forth regarding COVID-19 symptoms when deciding whether to attend conferences or not.  If there is any doubt or question, simply make a phone call and do not put others in danger by potentially spreading the virus.  If you have communicated and are planning a virtual conference, please stick with your time frame.  We also ask that only 1 parent attend conferences and to not leave children unattended during conferences.  There will be no food or drink served at conferences this year.  Please do not gather in the hallways.  If you are wanting to talk with friends, please do so outside the building.

Book Fair:  This will take place in the Multipurpose Building  during Parent-Teacher Conferences from 1-7 pm.  Again, do not leave children unattended at the Book Fair.

Sickness/Illness:  We expect all parents to check their students prior to sending them to school each and every day.  PLEASE do not send your child to school if they are sick.  Do not risk spreading sickness in our building.  If you child becomes ill or has symptoms at school, you will receive a call and your child will be sent home.  We would like to stay open and it is important to do your part in helping us do so.

Winter Sports (JH and HS Basketball):  These sports are going to be starting soon (JH Basketball has their first game next week).  It will be very important to understand that each location may have certain guidelines regarding COVID-19 and may not allow all spectators or even have concession stands.  Please check text alerts for information that will be sent out.

We understand that COVID-19 has caused a lot of changes in our lives.  Keep your heads up and charge forward each day.  We are continuing to educate all of our students whether face-to-face or virtually to the best of our ability.  Error on the side of caution when you are making decisions on whether to send your child to school or not each day.

If you have any questions feel free to contact the school.  Thanks and have a great day!
