Good day Panther Nation,

Our kids all came home last weekend.   The oldest had to leave to go back to work early Monday morning.  I had to tell him he couldn’t come back home for a while because of the epidemic……what, did I just say that?  A couple years ago the youngest went off to college in the fall.  We went to church that following Sunday and numerous people made comments “hey, how are the empty nesters?”  Mrs. Eaton and I, absolutely despised that comment.  People were meaning well, we just struggled with it.  My reply was usually, “we don’t like being empty nesters, because we actually like our kids!”  Anyway, I miss our school kids in much the same way.  Thirty years of being around kids constantly - to this new scenario.  My reply to those asking how school is going?   “I don’t like being an empty school nester, I like our kids!”  Mrs. Eaton misses you all as well.

Yesterday I mentioned the businesses across America changing up to help with the COVID-19 situation.  Today I learned of a major league baseball garment manufacturer that switched up from making uniforms to making hospital gowns and masks.  Again fellow Americans stepping up to help one another is amazing to watch.

Starting yesterday, I had the Kitchen Ladies cut down to two days a week delivering meals in an effort to better protect them.  I don’t think they liked it much, but they understood.  So they are delivering Monday/Tuesday breakfasts and lunches on Monday and Wednesday/Thursday/Friday meals on Wednesday.  If you are interest in your child getting free meals delivered, please text 816 273 7119.

Stay healthy!
