Not yesterday............

The fishing late yesterday afternoon was just that – fishing.  The water temperature was too cold, the wind was too much and possibly my skill level of catching fish has deteriorated………….But, it was still awesome to get out and enjoy the sunshine with my daughter Joeigh, even if the fish did not cooperate.  Speaking of fishing, somebody texted me yesterday a picture of a snaptweet-twitterbook-facechat or whatever it is that people do to converse on the intertube.  Anyway, this thing, had a caption - since COVID-19 caused schools across the country to close, students would have to make up this entire school year.  Makes perfect sense to me, “if it is on the internet, it must be true.”  “Bonjour.” If I have to explain that from a TV commercial a few years back, it would be as funny.  Please know just because somebody says something or prints it on the internet, reports it on TV, or says it on the radio does NOT always make it true.

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) are setting up documents that relate to all kinds of waivers as we speak to advise school districts.  Remember these are all in the event that we do not return to school this school year (19-20) and during an event that none of us have ever seen.

Stay healthy!
