Day #42 We get it.

Good morning Panther Nation!

Hey it's Thursday and life is as good as can be expected.  I got a call from one of my best friends and college roommates last night, Little Greg and his wife Penny were checking in on Mrs. Eaton's progress.  Our conversations are always strange if most people would listen in.  I will say that they are incredibly funny.  I wished I could share them with the rest of you, but there is no way anybody would understand them.  Thirty-one plus years ago would lose most people in the context of our college years.  Quoting movie lines is still a thing for us.  I guess we should grow up.... I'm thinking at our age, it surely should have happened by now, that  could be a very distance reality.  Anywho, they were concerned about Mrs. Eaton and just wanted an update.  She is way popular.  She really has no idea of how many people she has impacted over the years.  From students to parents to colleagues to old friends to coworkers to family members.  Really each and every one of us have the opportunity to affect the lives of others and we don't even realize it.  We just go through life every day and do our thing.  Our thing, should be to have an impact in a positive way that would further elevate others to do better.

I know (and it hurts me to think about the things our students have missed out on this last quarter of the school year) that kids are being shafted on school events.  Believe me, our patrons have shared their opinions with me over and over.  I just want each of you to know that none of our staff or school board like what is going on.  In fact, most of our faculty/staff have in one way or another explicitly expressed that in their communications with our administration.  Most people just want to be heard.  Please know that WE GET IT!  My heart is heavy with all the things this pandemic has caused our kids to miss.  What else can I say?

Stay healthy!
